DDCE is focused on delivering integrated solutions for the sustainable and profitable production of cellulosic ethanol. Based on legacy investments by its parent companies and its own engineering designs, DDCE is developing a complete, turnkey package for an advanced biorefinery. The package will contain all the design/technical elements necessary from the receipt of biomass to the output of fuel grade ethanol, including all the proprietary processes, operational information and licensing for full-scale economical production. DDCE will also work with its partners to provide engineering services, operating support and future technical improvements. Finally, DDCE is developing templates and partnerships for the upstream supply of biomass feedstock.
DDCE will offer a unique combination of competitive solutions to its clients. These include:
- License to an integrated process incorporating pretreatment, enzymatic saccharification, in-situ biocatalyst production and mixed sugar fermentation to ethanol.
- A total solution business model incorporating biomass variety recommendations, agronomics, supply chain collaboration templates and solutions for the harvest, collection and storage of feedstock supplies.
- Total engineering solutions from engineering, procurement construction and management (EPCM).
DDCE will license its patented technology package directly to ethanol producers for deployment in the United States and elsewhere. DDCE technology packages can be used both as a “bolt-on” to an existing ethanol plant — expanding its capacity to accept cellulosic feedstocks — or for a stand-alone cellulosic ethanol facility.
Based on legacy investments by its parent companies and its own engineering designs, DDCE is developing a complete, turnkey package for an advanced biorefinery. The package will contain everything necessary for the onsite production of proprietary, advanced biocatalysts and all the information and licenses needed to implement the other unit operations necessary for full-scale production.
